The images that make up the on going work ‘Blank Spaces’ are really about what isn't being shown. They are an examination of the fleeting moment between events, an exploration of those moments of nothingness that by their emptiness become so rich and full of meaning. Taking inspiration from the impressionist painters, the photographs use the effect that certain lighting conditions will produce the feeling of a snapshot and so a kind of idea has evolved that by capturing a specific kind of light we can convey the notion of a specific and fleeting moment in time. A moment when perhaps the mind is quiet enough to listen.
